The Refuge Center works diligently to meet the needs of our constituents, checkout this page to review our current programs.

Tutoring is available  for students now and during the summer. third through ninth grade students can participate in a summer tutoring program. Here they will practice fundamental skills and prevent skills loss. And will participate in varied summer activities.

Plants to Plates allows Future Farmers of America students and other tenth through twelfth grade students in a seedling to harvest farming program. Investigating climate controlled agriculture and varied vertical gardens. 

Community Food Progam

The Refuge Center attempts to meet the needs of our residents.  We provide daily meals to the homeless and food boxes to families on a weekly basis. 

Summer Camp Program

Plants to Plates Initiative (PTP) is a sustainable farming program that offers participants the chance to engage in innovative farming practices. We combine traditional farming methods, handed down through generations of farmers, with modern agricultural techniques. 

We explore the impact of climate change by utilizing controlled environment agriculture. Limited spaces farming will be  investigated through various types of vertical farming techniques. 

This summer camp is available for students in grades two through twelve. Specifically those who participate with Future Farmers of America program. Successful participants will grow crops from seedlings to harvest, and have the opportunity to sell their produce at a farmers market. 

Graduates of the program will receive a backpack filled with school supplies, tailored to their grade level. Additionally, our Future Farmers of America members will be given a gift card as a token of appreciation for their dedication to the program.
